The crypto team is responsible mobile and Web experiences for buy, hold and selling of crypto currencies at PayPal. Work with multiple brands as we expand our crypto offering. We are actively seeking a Staff Web Engineer to join our Crypto Currency Team!Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the full development life cycle, including design, coding, testing and production release.Create web applications following best practices of accessibility, internationalization, TDD.Partner closely with design & product to craft great product experiences.Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code crafts(wo)manship across team.Deliver code in an agile team environment.Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.A passion for technology and for developing robust, scalable, state of the art software systems.Required SkillsJavaScript application design, development, and testing experience.Experience with web applications (Node.js) and building middleware on top of RESTful APIs.Solid knowledge of popular JS frameworks and libraries including model-view-controller and Single-Page (SPA) (React & Redux (preferred), Backbone, Underscore, etc.) including concepts like ES6, asynchronous programming.Experience with web frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS, Bootstrap.Passionate about developing amazing user experiences.Strong desire to learn, to experiment, and to share knowledge with othersStrong attention to detail.Real world experience with cross-browser compatibility, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web and mobile web.Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.Experienced in writing unit, functional and integration tests such as Jest and Cypress.
