Our mission at Flexa is to make payments more efficient and accessible for merchants and their customers. Flexa offers faster, safer, and more private retail payments that help merchants streamline checkout and improve their bottom line. We are looking for an experienced VP of Finance to join our team and help direct and implement the next iterations of Flexa's financial operations strategy.In this role, you will be responsible for all Flexa accounting, finance, and audit practices and procedures. Additionally, you will work with senior management in preparing reporting for licenses on a state, federal, and international basis. You will work directly with the CEO, GC/CCO and Head of Product. Notably, you will lead major accounting and finance projects independently, and you will have the opportunity to create, direct and implement Flexa's finance and accounting policies and practices.Flexa's team is small, but highly efficient, and is growing quickly. When working together we are supportive and professional, and we aspire to communicate with mutual respect and understanding.Responsibilities Develop and implement finance and accounting policies and practices to help Flexa realize its ambition of bringing low-cost, fraud-proof payments to the entire world, while maintaining the viability and continued worldwide use of the Amp collateral token to power the Flexa network Manage annual audits both internally and with retained, outside independent auditors Work closely with Flexa's senior executive team to prepare reporting for state, federal, and international licenses Collaborate with Flexa's CCO and compliance team on other operational and policy directives to foster Flexa's continued growth Requirements 5-7 years experience working in a senior level accounting or finance position, preferably in a digital payments or cryptocurrency-related environment Familiarity with industry standard accounting and tax software interfaces Strong verbal and written communication skills The confidence necessary to join, work with, and contribute to a senior executive team Benefits Full healthcare and life insurance (premier medical, dental & vision plans) Unlimited paid time off (with suggested minimum vacation time) Pre-tax commuter benefits Paid parental leave Flexa was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in New York City.
