Within Citi Fintech, the Strategy team acts as trusted and expert advisors to bank leadership and is responsible for driving high-impact strategic and business development initiatives for Citi FinTech and Global Consumer Banking, across 20 countries. The Strategy team is seeking a high-performing individual capable of leading its efforts within the digital banking, open banking / partnerships and business development domains. We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills, a well-developed strategy tool kit, strong executive presence, financial services, technology (or related industry) experience and the ability to successfully influence change in a highly matrixed organization. Specifically, the individual chosen for this position will support Citi FinTech's strategy by working in close partnership with FinTech, and Global Consumer Banking senior leadership and business/functional heads.

Areas of particular relevance to Citi Fintech include emerging ecosystems and platforms, personal financial management, digital identity, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, digital lending and payments, and blockchain technology.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Identify opportunities and communicate issues of strategic importance to Citi FinTech and Global Consumer Banking leadership
* Provide clarity and facilitate decision making where answers aren't obvious - particularly around business model innovation, associated economics and revenue opportunities (e.g., new business models, new distribution approaches, new platform development and monetization, monetization of data / open banking / APIs)
* Structure and deliver competitive intelligence around emerging and existing competitors, including the 'so what'
* Guide investment prioritization / business mix assessment
* Engage with fintechs and emerging ecosystem players and assess potential partnership opportunities for Citi's consumer bank. Collaborate with various digital product teams, control groups and business teams to develop build / buy / partner recommendations
* Build financial models to test key assumptions, analyze relevant economics, and clearly determine the impact of various scenarios on Citi's bottom line
* Lead and drive large parts of key projects: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, gathering and analyzing data, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change
* Produce high-quality presentations and briefing materials used to communicate key findings and recommendations to Citi FinTech and Global Consumer Banking senior leadership
* Support internal and external communications, including Senior Executive and Board Level
* Performs all of the above independently and with limited supervision

Qualifications

* Strong track record of academic and professional excellence and achievement
* Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree from top tier institution strongly preferred
* 5-10 years of experience; Digital strategy, Innovation, Business Development preferred
* 3+ years of strategy experience in Top 5 Management Consulting firm or in the strategy function of a Financial Services, fintech or technology firms preferred
* Passion for understanding, assessing and monetizing new information-based strategies and businesses (e.g., digital identity)
* Exposure to broad technology and fintech trends, particularly across wealth management, banking, digital payments and lending
* Outstanding analytical and quantitative capabilities required
* Knowledge of operational/financial modeling (forecasting, valuation) and ability to analyze financial statements
* Strong communication skills (written, verbal, active listening) applied to "client" situations
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
* Experience meeting objectives through influence, facilitation, leadership, negotiation and team building
