The Ascent Services Group is looking for a Sr. Test Automation Architect to join one of our clients in Central Denver for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in test automation strategy. This is a new role for our client and comes with tremendous opportunity as the role and organization grows. Key Responsibilities:

?

  • You will enable efficient delivery of quality solutions to our business partners through effective, sustainable and creative test automation strategy and architecture.
  • Responsible for test automation architecture and driving overarching automation strategy
  • Execute on and/or own the design, implementation and evolution of test automation framework(s)
  • Lead test automation solutions as a product
  • Partner with development leaders in embedding continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines
  • Partner with quality assurance leaders in enabling complex testing strategies with automation
  • Research and implement advanced features of test automation in support of an agile environment
  • Contribute and provide subject matter expertise in evolving our agile testing approach
  • Build, consult and maintain an environment where BDD/TDD/ADD behaviors are fostered
  • Define test automation standard methodologies, standards and guidelines; provide oversight as appropriate
  • Consult and provide direction on automation techniques
  • Keep apprised of innovative test automation approaches and tooling trends
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in evolving our test automation capability

Qualifications:

?
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance
  • 4+ years of test automation experience
  • 3+ years of software development background
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile Scrum
  • Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Adept in architecting test automation framework(s) within an enterprise environment across various technologies
  • Experience with supporting Continuous Integration and automated build systems
  • Proficient in one or many programming language (C#/.Net, Python, etc.)
  • Proficient in one or many scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience utilizing various open source and market-leading vended solutions (nUnit, MSTest, SpecFlow, Selenium, SoapUI, Tricentis Tosca, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of complex SQL, database validation and querying tools Understanding of data warehousing architectures (e.g. hub and spoke) and master data management concepts
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of continuous delivery pipelines and supporting tools
  • Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within a product management delivery model
  • Adept communicator with strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance visionary thought (strategic/forward thinking) with performance (results-driven, ambitious)
  • Embraces change, open-minded, positive attitude and technically curious
  • Practical exposure to modern technologies such as robotics, AI, ML and Blockchain a plus
  • Experience within an asset management solutions technology a plus.?

Test Automation Architect. New role for the org. They have a counterpart in the UK. Sent Michael a couple of resumes. 30-40% doing. Remainder is carving out a vision for test automation. Where do they want guidelines and strategies to be. Must have done this before or has been doing it for a year or so. Developer who knows how to code. Know the best principles and rolling out a test automation framework across an organization. They are Microsoft and Java shop. Technically curious. What does it look like to build up a good automation framework. Alex built an instance where they spun up a brand new environment, builds up the project, runs tests, reports to Jira, creates a dashboard of pass/fail. Devise a modern, maintainable test automation solution. $145K. Biggest challenge is that people are happy in their roles. The good ones are taken. Lisa is one away from the CEO. This person will be two away. Tremendous opportunity. Financial services is a plus. Not at all mandatory. They had a candidate, Maureen Kennedy. Alex is a data guy, tried and true. Must be savvy in the database although Alex is.
