Sr Strategic Sourcing Consultant TechnologyWorking closely with Senior Managers, Executives and key stakeholders from the IS (Information Systems) group this person will develop long term strategic sourcing strategies and deliver competitive solutions that provide the greatest competitive value for the enterprise. The role will also help the growing IS Sourcing team enhance the vendor life cycle process.Information Systems areas of focus include software, hardware, telecommunications/networking and professional services categories.Responsibilities include:Acting as a key point of contact for the IS team regarding the sourcing of complex, mission critical IT systems, products and services.Leading, executing and acting as a mentor to others on complex RFX's (RFI, RFQ, RFP) including needs assessment, information gathering, technical stakeholder discussions, drafting of RFX's, vendor research, vendor negotiations, analysis and presentation of results.Working hand in hand with IS stakeholders, vendors and legal counsel to draft, negotiate and manage contracts (master agreements, license agreements, SOW's etc.) for complex IS related products and services.Managing key vendor relationships to ensure business needs are being met and ensuring competitive, sustainable solutions to the business.In collaboration with other team members, increasing focus on the vendor lifecycle management process through items such as a more effective onboarding approach and implementation of a robust QBR process.Qualifications:7 - 10+ years of relevant experience in IT/ IS Strategic Sourcing and contract negotiationStrong oral and written communication skills including report/proposal preparation, presentations to Executives and all levels of Management / external contactsExperience working in a complex IT environment working with hardware/software manufacturers, resellers and professional services organizations requiredBachelor's degree requiredWillingness and ability to travel to various states, industry association events and conferences as required to meet standards for business growth and development.Demonstrated ability to bring in, evaluate and apply new conceptual models to approve the effectiveness of the Strategic Sourcing functionKnowledge and interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, AR/VR, AI, Chatbots, RPA and Blockchain preferred.Remarkable benefits:• Health coverage for medical, dental, vision• 401(K) saving plan with company match AND Pension• Tuition assistance• PTO for community volunteer programs• Wellness program• Employee discountsThe Automobile Club of Southern California is part of the largest federation of AAA clubs in the nation.
