We're looking for a Sr. Product Designer with UX focus to join our talented design team.

As a Sr. Product Designer - UX, you'll be involved in every aspect of the product creation process, from workshopping the next great innovation to crafting design requirements and developing user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes. You'll utilize your range of user experience design skills as you collaborate with other smart folks on the evolution of our digital platforms.
At TWC we use science, data, machine learning and user-driven insights to guide our work, but we also believe in a healthy dose of inspired storytelling as we strive to transform the landscape of weather products.
Your day-to-day is never the same: Fast paced, often fun and never boring.
What you'll do:
? Champion the user and always lead with a user-centered design process
? Craft various aspects of the user experience for our consumer offerings, across free and paid products, from inception to launch.
? Acquire a thorough understanding of the weather domain (wx is a fascinating and complex domain)
? Come up with bold and smart ideas that balance user and business needs
? Turn ideas into novel experiences that are feasible, valuable, and delightful
? Actively participate in design discovery activities to help define products and features
? Lead design thinking workshops and help with user requirement gathering
? Lead playback of concepts and solutions to stakeholders
? Execute user flows, user journeys, high/low fidelity wireframes and other ux deliverables that are grounded in data, professional intuition, and best practices.
? Sketch and prototype to quickly test and iterate on ideas
? Work with user research on tests at various stages of the product
? Champion TWC brand and work with other designers to own, uphold and document design style guides to achieve consistency across our properties.
? Prioritize work effectively and collaborate with other disciplines including weather science and editorial.
? Comfortably give and take feedback.
? Help shape the culture of our growing design team.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Great candidate will have:
Experience & Skills
? 8 year+ product or agency experience as Sr. UX Designer, Sr. UX/UI Designer, Sr. Product Designer - UX. Lead Product Designer.
? Degree or certification in product design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
? Proven experience designing for native apps (iOs/Android) and web platforms
? Ability to lead user experience design, including usability principles, user research methodology, Information Architecture, design theory, and interaction design.
? Exceptional track record executing on product design strategy, using user-first design thinking methodologies and partnering with cross functional teams.
? Mastery in UX design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, inVision, Figma.
? A good understanding of the latest app and web development technologies
? Experience and passion for data visualization a plus
? Killer portfolio that proves you're making something you love
