Whether at a customer site, within Mastercard's own data center, or in the public cloud, we provide the secure, unified single point of entry for all Account to Account, Blockchain, Card, and Data transactions.We are currently seeking a passionate & collaborative software engineer to join our Network Access team. As an associate engineer in Network Access, you will have the opportunity to develop solutions that directly impact/enable millions of global transactions that occur each day. You will play a vital role within a rapidly growing organization, while working closely with experienced and driven engineers to solve challenging problems. Are you a collaborator, able to engage across your team & beyond?Are you an innovator who embraces, adopts, and studies the latest technology to solve challenging business problems?If this describes you, Mastercard wants to talk to you about joining our Squad.About the Role:• Assist team members in the development of applications, components, system to system interfaces and complete software solutions • Significant code development, commitment of code/review of pull-requests, and day-to-day support duties• May manage medium-sized project/initiatives as an experienced individual contributor with specialized knowledge within assigned discipline About You:• Experience developing solutions across various languages, including Java• Experience delivering scalable products through a CI/CD pipeline deploying on-prem or in a public cloud infrastructure• Able to apply software quality practices across across the development lifecycle• Strong analytical skills required for debugging production issues, providing root cause and implementing mitigation plan• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, interface with external / internal resources and provide technical leadership to junior team members• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, and perform POC to explore best solution for the problem statement• Flexibility to work as a member of a matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project teamsDesirable skills and experience:• Experience working in Agile teams• Experience with virtualization like Cloud Foundry(PCF), Kubernetes (PKS), Docker etc.• Experienced in building platforms with Microservice architecture and/or RESTful APIs.• Experienced in event driven systems (Apache Kafka, NATS, etc)• Engineering experience in high volume, low latency transaction processing systems (such as payments transaction switching, high frequency trading systems or global real-time event streaming systems etc.)• Experience using cloud-native approaches running on Linux, leveraging Spring BootEducation:BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalentDue to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
