This is an important process for Citi to identify and create new capability for Future Growth which is key to Citi's competitive advantage. The Global Emerging Tech Sourcing team is a partner to its Citi Emerging tech business partners in their pursuit to create new capability for Future Growth. The Global Emerging Tech Sourcing Manager role is part of a Sourcing team that leads the business partner engagement, executes sourcing programs and contract negotiations, specific to the requirements of certain business partners within Citi's Emerging Tech community. This position interacts with all levels of management, including senior or executive management from various business and suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Create sourcing projects and a pipeline of work that aligns with our business partner's objectives and execute on these. Develop and grow internal business partner relationships so as to integrate into their team by actively managing the pipeline of work, providing regular updates, ensuring the pipeline is always up to date and in sync with their priorities while increasing Sourcing's influence. Establish reputation within the sourcing organization and business partners as subject matter expert. Assist the business partners in every way to expedite the on-boarding process for new suppliers. Actively partner with appropriate internal organizations to support execution for business partners. Work with business partners and technology teams to assist development and analysis of supplier landscapes (whether through RFi's or other market research methods) across specific Emerging Technology domains (e.g. Blockchain, Automation, Machine learning, etc.). Develop key supplier relationships and contribute to the implementation of strategic partnerships. Lead all negotiations and the contracting process to ensure market leading contract and commercial terms are achieved and they are on Citi standard agreement templates from low value, low risk trial/Work Order/License agreements right up to high value, high risk master agreements. Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of Requests for Proposal (eRFx's) for Global initiatives, which includes RFP drafting, managing deadlines, reviewing proposals, developing scoring matrices, preparing supplier selection recommendations, and pricing negotiations. Structure and negotiate new master agreements, manage supplier relations and contract disputes. Manage and maintain effective contract and commercial terms with existing suppliers, aimed at reducing risk and achieving market competitive commercial terms to reduce total cost of ownership. Achieve Sourcing and Supply Chain targets, including cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, service improvements, process efficiencies and risk mitigation as well as supporting our business partners to test and adopt new technologies with agility enabling new business capability. Deliver all required management reporting, both repeated and ad hoc as required to provide quality information in a timely manner, including maintaining up to date and accurate systems records. Ensure all administrative requirements are completed, including approved supplier program, supplier diversity, project management system, contract management system, procure-to-pay system, and software related metrics. Ensure the timely, efficient and accurate processing of all sourcing transactions; Ensure consistent documentation accuracy and archival of supplier selection and negotiation processes. Ensure full compliance with purchasing policies, procedures and standards, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Drive Citigroup Approved Supplier utilization, adoption and optimization.
Knowledge/Experience: Candidate must have 6+ years of experience in technology sourcing, with strong contracting and Supplier Management experience. Must have previous experience in Software Sourcing and contracting. Sourcing experience in a large, multi-national organization a must. Experience in a large, diverse banking corporation is preferred Experience working collaboratively with a global mind-set and work across countries globally Experience and success in leading strategic sourcing programs and program management Prior proven experience working to tight contract completion timelines with time sensitive supplier negotiations Demonstrated track record focused on simple and complex software deal structuring, negotiating and contract redlining, with both large established suppliers right down to Start-ups. Previous experience in working with cross functional, multi lingual and offshore teams, obtaining consensus in complex activities that cross departmental, geographic and business entities. Skills: Fundamental strategic sourcing skills are a key requirement. Strong negotiation and contracting skills Advanced relationship management with proven stakeholder management and influencing skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills (English) Excellent Negotiation skills Ability to multi task and work on a mix of projects or contracts with varying complexity, i.e. eRFx's, Master agreement, Work Orders and License Schedules.
