S&T is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C). It buys, sells and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas and gas liquids to support Chevron's crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network. Headquartered in Houston with additional trading hubs in London, Singapore, and other offices worldwide, S&T manages daily commodity transactions of 5 million barrels of liquids and 5 billion cubic feet (BCF) of gas through a workforce of close to 700 people. S&T has exciting initiatives underway with Blockchain, Cloud Migration to Azure, RPA and Analytics using Cloudera.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Transform applications as an active member of a SCRUM team supporting and delivering solutions for digital shifting, cloud migration, blockchain integration, supply & trading business applications, and automation in a devops environment
  • Rationalize and develop application solutions that meet business needs with focus on application design, development, and coding standards leveraging Continuous Integration/Build, Automated Testing, Automated Deployment, and Configuration Management tools and processes where applicable
  • Working with the application developers across the enterprise to develop, support and implement the standards and processes used by Application Developers via SCRUM processes
  • Align to development standards and methodologies for core application development technologies. (e.g. .Net, Java) with opportunities to develop in HTML5, Python, Ansible, AngularJS, etc.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years experience in DevOps Agile Scrum processes and tools (JIRA, TFS, VSTS, Jenkins, Git) and the overall application development lifecycle.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to technical skills in .NET or other object oriented programming languages.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server).
  • Ability to see past boundaries, identify opportunities, provide solutions, and structure\realize a digital\technical strategy.
  • Can manage time and schedule effectively; Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
  • Leverage resources across teams for optimal results, ability to build relationships;
  • Ability to quickly assess current state, apply technical concepts across multiple functions (Supply and Trading), and identify opportunities to improve business value through technology.
  • Knowledge of the Supply and Trading business space or any ETRM tool is desired, but not required.
  • This role will require written and oral communication with many levels of the organization including business and suppliers.
  • The successful candidate should be able to communicate in a clear, concise and understandable manner, adjusting communication to the audience.
