The Dell EMC Office of the CTO, Open Innovation Lab team delivers Proof-of-Concepts that are customer focused, customer engaged, exploring unmet requirements/business problems through rapid prototyping to deliver innovative products and solutions for the global market. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop innovative software applications across a number of ecosystems. Current technologies of interest include AI / ML, Trusted Compute / Security, Edge Architectures and Optimizations, Real Time Analytics, Automation and M&O and Containers and Cloud Stack Optimizations ? all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration with customers, internal and external partners.
We are looking for a **Senior Software Developer** to join our team in **Austin, Texas to be a key contributor** in the evolution of Dell.
+ Software design, development and prototyping of applications/solutions using agile methodology
+ Exercise considerable latitude in translating ?loose? customer requirements, mapping them to tangible technical requirements and developing proof-of-concepts spread over one or more 6-8 week sprints
+ Collaborate well with peers within Dell, customers and partners
+ Interact cross functionally with customers, account teams, partners, architects, peers across Dell, senior management in the course of execution of Open Innovation Lab projects
+ Lead change and continuous improvement for both innovation and processes.
+ This position requires an accomplished software engineer, who truly understands multiple key technologies and applications, can create software, thrives in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment and has the ability and track record of influencing and collaborating with others.
+ MS in Computer Science and 3+ years experience or BS and 5+ years experience or equivalent
+ Be a self-motivated, quick learner, strong problem solver, team player, and effective communicator demonstrating strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
+ Excellent track record in software design and development with significant experience with a language like Java/Python/C++/.
+ Experienced with Agile Development.
+ Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Virtualization, Containers, OpenStack, Big Data Analytics, Real time Analytics or Machine Learning.
+ Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: Containers, Spark/Flink, Blockchain, Drools, NodeRED, NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper, Cassandra/CouchDB, Hadoop/HDFS, ELK, Bosun, Hyper scale storage technologies
+ Experience with Open Source Software development.
+ Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP public cloud environments
+ Experience with DevOps tools such as Puppet, Ansible.
+ Experience with orchestrators such as Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon, Docker Swarm
+ Experience with Dell Technologies products such as ScaleIO, Isilon, VMware, PCF, NSX, ECS
+ Experienced with collaborating with customers to understand the problem statement/use cases and mapping them to tangible technical requirements.
+ Experience working across cross-functional teams ? customers, business units, partners, architects, account teams and senior management.
