Will utilize exceptional business acumen to identify business opportunities through data driven analysis. Maximize return on investment through planning of sales to drive a profitable and healthy business. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to increase site conversion and drive site improvements. Provide research, analysis, reporting, and forecasting at the category level.

Job Responsibilities

* Aid category teams in managing categories through planning, forecasting, assortment-specific analytics, web analytics, and site improvements
* Be willing to work cross functionally with Category Managers and Partner Management
* Lead product management initiatives through analysis and strategic planning
* Analyze past sales figures/trends to predict future outcomes
* Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis through data mining and data visualizations
* Identify businesses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
* Pro-actively identify opportunities for category growth and improvement
* Provide analysis in a timely, accurate and professional manner
* Maintain and update weekly analysis/reporting
* Prioritize all ad hoc reporting requests based on potential business value
* Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.

Job Requirements

* 2-3 years of experience in a data intensive role, preferably in a retail environment (past sales planning experience a plus)
* Works well independently and as part of a team;
* Top notch communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Assertive, self-starter, always willing to share ideas
* Work effectively with various departments to resolve issues, reach agreements, and collaborate on strategic initiatives
* Expertise working in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience or familiarity with relational databases and statistical data analysis (intermediate skills in SQL a plus)
* Must love a fast paced, constantly changing environment
* Detail oriented
* Solid grasp of retail math and analysis
