Working with the corporate tax team, conducts highly-complex tax work to ensure the organization is in compliance with global tax regulations related to accounting for corporate direct and indirect taxes.
Responsibilities Lead the global tax provision process including review and preparation of quarterly account reconciliations, and preparation of disclosures and footnotes in annual audited financial statements Ensure foreign and domestic provision to return reconciliations are prepared, reviewed and recorded timely Research and respond to inquiries from government agencies regarding filing, compliance, and other claims Maintain expert knowledge of all applicable tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance Perform research and complex analysis for tax and business processes and projects Assist with the preparation of special projects related to corporate initiatives, legislative proposals, acquisition and/or divestiture modeling, and other ad hoc reporting requests as needed Ensure global direct and indirect tax returns are prepared and timely filed Maintain company's global tax compliance calendar Maintain company's global transfer pricing agreements and review the transfer pricing calculations Assist and mentor other members of the tax and accounting teams
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, Master's degree a plus Seven (7) plus years of progressive experience in accounting with an emphasis on tax Advanced knowledge and experience with GAAP tax provisions Experience reporting under ASC 740 Advanced level of business acumen in tax within business operations, industry practices and emerging trends Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in team environment Very strong analytical skills with good judgment and strong procedural focus Proficient computer skills, specifically MS Excel Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Corporate tax experience in multi-state and multiple legal entity environments International tax experience Specialized certifications in tax preparations and compliance a plus
