DevOps SkyGrid ( skygrid.com ), is a Boeing, SparkCognition company that is enabling the future of urban aerial mobility. Based in Austin, Texas, SkyGrid delivers a platform capable of providing safe airspace operations, including unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) traffic management (UTM) solutions ? a key step toward integrating a significant number of autonomous air vehicles into the global airspace. As the first AI and blockchain-powered unmanned aerial operating system, SkyGrid is facilitating a wide variety of UAS-enabled services, including package delivery, industrial inspections, and emergency assistance. The SkyGrid engineering team is looking for a passionate, talented, self-motivated DevOps engineer to join us in building the future of urban air mobility. The candidate will be responsible for development, testing, documenting of software. Responsibilities + Continuously improve the infrastructure for cloud-based services and client interfaces + Manage the day-to-day operations of our build, testing, and continuous integration environment + Support an effective developer workflow including build, test automation, and deployment + Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service + Proactively communicate project & task status to project stakeholders + Provide occasional on-call support which may include irregular hours as needed Qualifications+ + Deployment and configuration of microservices on Kubernetes (GKE preferred) + 4+ years' experience writing code statement + CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar + Experience with Kubernetes monitoring and tracing tools like Prometheus, Grafana and Jaeger + Familiar with GitOps deployment strategies + Experience with error alerting tools - Infra as a service (Terraform, Pulumi, etc) + Experienced in system administration with a background and understanding of software development + Previous containerization experience with Docker or similar technology + Proven experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment + Familiar with monitoring, metrics collection, and reporting using open-source tools + Familiarity with cloud networking and traffic management (VPCs, load balancers, network segregation) + Must have excellent presentation and communication skills (written, oral, internal, and client-facing) + Proven ability to execute responsibilities with minimal direction. + Self-motivated time management + Must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions + Position reports to HQ in Austin, TX.
