Senior Data Analyst - IC 4 (, Inc., Midvale, UT)

Perform advanced data analytics and interpretation, define key performance indicators and other performance metrics, create advanced forecasting and statistical models to predict customer behavior and the performance of projects and initiatives for their assigned business unit. Extrapolate causal inference and results from business policy and procedural changes; Analyze opportunities and return on investment (ROI), develop business strategies, and provide operational recommendations; Interpret business requests into clear and actionable technical requirements for meaningful analysis. Mine data from the enterprise data warehouse and third-party tools to continuously improve company performance and provide positive return on investment. Learn new data sources and new analytical tools, as well as provide recommendations to management. Work with data sets (including sales, customer, behavioral, and website), tools, and technologies (including Teradata, MicroStrategy, Excel, RStudio, Python, Snowflake, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, HIVE, and HDFS) to build business cases and provide ROI analyses for projects and initiatives. Provide ad hoc strategic and tactical data analyses; and build financial forecasts and predictive models. Determine causal impact of business enhancements and iterative process improvement. Collaborate with Enterprise Business Intelligence teams to map source data, create data pipelines, and define business rules and reporting requirements to support business units with the onboarding of new data. Work closely with their business unit to understand requirements and functional specifications. Create models to predict customer behavior, product performance, and the performance business initiatives. Work with Data Science and Product teams to support in-house AdTech systems. Create and measure specific performance metrics. Use strong communications skills (verbal and written) to report test results and lead the design of experiments to optimize business performance. Liaise between the business and the analytics teams to understand business requirements and guide the teams to arrive at strategic data-driven decisions.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, or other related field, plus 3 years of professional experience conducting data analysis (including manipulating data sets, monitoring and predicting trends, and identifying business opportunities by interpreting financial, behavioral, demographic, and operational data), performing business computations using Microsoft Suite tools (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), applying the Scientific Method and foundational statistical methods to business analysis issues and visualizing data using tools (including Excel). Must also have the following: 1 year of professional experience condensing data for use in reporting and executing strategic initiatives in an online retail environment by utilizing relational databases (including Structured Query Language (SQL); 1 year of professional experience conducting tests and utilizing statistical methods (including A/B testing, Multivariate testing, and Null Hypothesis Significance testing); 1 year of professional experience recognizing correlations, trends, and statistical irregularities using mathematical concepts (including correlation, regression analysis, clustering, and other modelling methodologies); 1 year of professional experience analyzing data using statistical analysis tools (including R).

Physical Requirements:

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
