Bachelors degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Additional required (some desired) experience and skill-set:Communications TheoryAdvanced Digital Signal ProcessingSpace-based coherent transceiver designExperience analyzing/estimating phase noise performance of coherent transceiversBasic modulation types: PSK, QAM, phase modulation, PSK on subcarrier, FSK, DSSSAll-digital tracking loop algorithm designTracking loop performance analysis and design trade-offsAll-digital automatic gain controller designExperience with satellite ranging using PN signals and tonesCode tracking loop designTransmitter algorithm design ( RRC filter design trade-offs, pulse shaping, re-sampling, etc )Transmitter performance analysis (gain/phase/quadrature imbalance, EVM)Receiver and transmitter equalizer designAmplifier linearization techniquesPower amplifier modeling (desired)Familiarity with multirate signal processing techniques ( polyphase filtering, arbitrary resampling )Familiarity with adaptive signal processing techniquesFamiliarity with various comms standards ( DSN, TDRSS, SGLS, USB, GPS, DVBS2 )Simulink and MATLAB experienceVerilog experience is a plusExperience with FPGA debugExperience testing and troubleshooting in a lab setting
