Jump Trading is one of the world's largest cryptocurrency traders, as well as an active contributor to blockchain protocols. We're looking to hire a hybrid quant/dev into our crypto team. In this role, you will be directly responsible for advancing the team's trading footprint. Your work will include building and optimizing trading strategies; researching new protocols; researching new datasources; designing and improving our research and trading systems; and collaborating with others inside and outside of the team to advance the team's dual mission of being the top crypto trader in the world and a major contributor in the crypto ecosystem. The crypto world is fast-paced, featuring rapid changes to the trading environment, and the stakes are high. We're looking for a proficient and conscientious programmer with high personal coding standards. Our ideal candidate appreciates cleanly architected systems and is willing to do the dirty work to help raise the standards for the team. They will leverage existing utilities and open-source software effectively, and has good instincts about which problems should be difficult. Lastly, our ideal candidate makes decisions to optimize the team's productivity, taking the longer road if it helps make the code more extensible and testable. Skills you will need: At least 1+ year of programming experience in Python or C++ Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent understanding of unix and git Ability to work creatively and independently on long-term projects Ability to reason critically about data Bonus points: Experience in programming contests Experience with distributed systems Interest in open source software Interest in cryptocurrencies
