Purpose

The Oracle Platform Sales Director is anindividual contributor role with an annual quota. You will be responsiblefor pipeline development, sales strategy and execution leading to sales of Oracle-relatedservices (Consulting and Managed Services) related to the Oracle TechnologyStack and Hitachi Consulting's Oracle services portfolio. They ensure achievement of strategic revenueobjectives for an assigned Geographic territory within North America.

The Oracle Platform Sales Director's primaryrole is to generate, qualify, and close new Oracle business for the companywith a mix of new and existing clients. This role requires effectivecommunication with appropriate client executives to understand their needs anddeliver compelling and effective sales proposals, working in concert with both Oracleand Hitachi Consulting sales leadership, field sellers and delivery leads.

The role requires deep understanding and knowledge of OracleTechnologies in the areas of (ERP, Supply Chain, HCM,and CX), IOT, Block Chain, and Machine Learning. Oracle Platform Sales Directors must be ableto present, and position Oracle based solutions as applicable to the customerneed and challenge.

Successful Hitachi Consulting Platform Sales Directorshave at least ten years of professional services and/or direct Oracle salesexperience. They operate comfortably with senior executives, work wellindependently, and have an entrepreneurial bent, allowing them to move fluidlyfrom business development/marketing activities to closing large,transformational deals.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* 50% - Drives the sales pursuit process. Develops new business customers and expands business with existing client relationships. Sees that sales strategies/plans are consistent with company's long-range strategic objectives.
* 40% - Builds a sales pipeline by developing, nurturing and maintaining client, alliance partner sales force and new business relationships, and executing demand generation activities.
* 10% - Performs necessary sales administration to make sure that all parties are kept up to date on sales activities. Includes participating in weekly and periodic Go-To Market team meetings and keeping sales management & reporting tools up to date.
* In depth knowledge of the following Oracle Capability areas:
* Applications (ERP, Supply Chain, HCM, and CX) Strategy
* IOT, Blockchain, and Machine Learning Strategy
* Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing, or information services; advanced degree in business or marketing desirable.
* Minimum of 10 years in sales and/or marketing.
* Excellent business development skills in business-to-business technology sales with the ability to effectively direct business development tasks to maximize revenues and profits. In-depth knowledge of sales principles and practices.
* Must work collaboratively with Service Delivery personnel.
* Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Collaboration skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Skype for Business, etc.

Travel

* Travel as needed to support sales pursuits at client locations in the defined territory
