Onyx Digital Assets - Technical Product Manager Blockchain Launch The Blockchain Launch team leads efforts for Distributed Ledger Technology applications & Cryptocurrencies, actively developing blockchain use cases and in-house technology to create solutions across lines of business within J.P. Morgan. We oversee both selection and execution of internal and external use cases, we partner with and invest in leading blockchain technology providers, and we maintain active participation in industry forums. We're detailed-oriented and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Onyx Digital Assets - Technical Product Manager Onyx Digital Assets is a new platform developed by Blockchain Launch. It is a multi-asset blockchain network and platform that enables the tokenization and exchange of value for different types of digital assets, from debt to equities to renewable energy to natively digital collectibles. Onyx Digital Assets, aka 'O.D.A', launched in December 2020 with its first application - Intraday Repo - which has seen hundreds of billions of dollars of tokenized assets move through the platform. We are currently building out the next applications to run on top of O.D.A and are scaling the platform accordingly. The candidate will be responsible for defining, owning, and driving the O.D.A product roadmap, and importantly, owning, enhancing and realizing the overall vision. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with control functions and internal stakeholders to ensure tight governance and control of the ongoing development, as well as ensure appropriate client-engagement. Partnership with our technology organization is key, so we are seeking someone who not only understands the business aspects of tokenized assets, but also someone who is highly technical, adept at collaborating with developers and is passionate about building the underlying infrastructure instead of the business facing applications. The candidate will leverage their expertise and experience in rolling out digital assets products in order to create a market-leading platform. The candidate, at minimum should have the following background: Experience working within the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem, ideally within a company that is focused on tokenized assets or enabling applications to be built on top of blockchain platforms. Experience working within the financial industry (e.g., at a top-tier bank, broker-dealer, custodian, or other financial institution) in a technical product role, and can demonstrate a detailed understanding of the practical requirements for enabling solutions in these domains Exposure to a broad range of financial products with an understanding of the structures that enable trading and settlement of equities, commodities, derivatives and other financial instruments in both the traditional and non-traditional financial world Experience operating in highly regulated industries (e.g., Banking, FinTech, Digital Assets and Blockchain) Experience building SDKs and has an understanding of how to enable developers to build blockchain-based applications Experience with providing APIs and enabling connectivity to other systems An understanding of key differentiators across existing Digital Asset/Tokenization platforms, and which features and functions are important to deliver a best-in-class solution The candidate should exemplify the following skills: A self-starter but also team-oriented with a demonstrated willingness to get into the weeds of a project, and drive it from the ideation stage, to execution, and to successful commercialization Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven experience driving product and business decisions, and comfortability in presenting intricate topics to senior management Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage complex projects among many stakeholders Genuine curiosity to learn new and innovative concepts and the willingness to teach and educate others Proactive effort in keeping up with the latest technological developments inside and outside of the blockchain ecosystem An ideal candidate would have the below background, knowledge and skills in addition to the bare minimum above: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines Understanding of architecture and design across systems Working proficiency in developmental toolsets Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices, specifically for tokenized assets Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement 7+ years' experience in Developer / Design of distributed computing environments Proven track record of delivering software development projects Understanding of security procedures and practices Experience with cloud infrastructure services such as Amazon, Google, or Microsoft Distributed computing experience such as Kafka and RabbitMQ Experience with one or more front-development frameworks, such as React or Angular JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
