We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist that will help our client discover the information hidden in vast amounts of Healthcare data, and help them make smarter decisions to deliver even better products.

Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with their products. Healthcare data falls under 8 different buckets: Clinical Data, Financial Data, Claims Data, Patient Generated Data, Clinical Trials Data, Pharmaceuticals Data, Employer Data and DNA/Genome Data.

This role will get an opportunity to work across these data-sets and will also collaborate with a team of Healthcare Product professionals and Development team that are utilizing cutting edge technology to build the next generation Healthcare products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Data Scientists.
  • Interact with clients/prospects on an as-needed basis.
  • Interact with the Product and Development teams on strategy sessions.
  • Represent the company in conferences/speaking engagements.
  • Database design and development using SQL Server (we use 2017, but experience with prior versions is fine)
  • Development of Machine Learning models using a combination of T-SQL, Python, Java and/or R.
  • Build analytics and rich visualizations that easily convey the business value to the participants in the Healthcare domain.
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Create automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance.
  • Support for DEV, QA, BA, PM, Sales for application issues.
  • Data creation for load tests and performance tuning analysis for load tests.
  • Interact with the different departments (Product, Dev, DevOps, IT and QA).
  • Compliance with company procedures, client interaction and conduct, honesty, fairness, sound business judgment and ethics.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience with software/product development in the field of Statistics/Data Science.
  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, etc.
  • Strong experience in T-SQL and performance tuning.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc. is a plus
  • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Good scripting and data modeling skills.
  • Superior communication skills: listening, written and oral communications.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams


  • 4 year engineering degree or equivalent level of education.
