Description The IT Business Analyst role is accountable for translating business strategies and needs into business requirements for IT services. They are also accountable to the IT function for advocacy of the IT policies, strategies, and practices. This role is accountable for maintaining the relationship with Emerging Technology for Finance (ET4F). The Emerging Technology group in finance is working on a series of opportunities to help transform the way finance works. Areas of focus are Blockchain, Robotic Process Automation, Intelligent Optical Character Recognition (iOCR) and analytics. Future opportunities may include Machine Learning, ChatBots, and Natural Language processing. The ET4F business analyst assists with piloting and implementing these technologies. Responsibilities may include Communicating with the business customers around IT services, costs and needs Identifying use cases across Finance for Emerging Technology proofs of concept (POC) Translating business needsstrategies into requirements and sourcing IT services internally and externally to meet requirements (current and future) Understanding business processes end-to-end, actively measuring business contribution of enabling systems (functional business system measures), and initiating improvement to the process andor systems Working with other IT service groups to ensure services meet customer needs Forecasting demand for services and projects Understanding and communicating to the customers on both the cost and value of services provided Performing front-end-loading (FEL), business case development and where appropriate, lead projects Working with business-unit-specific vendors and industry groups Influencing customer demand Reviewing range of existing solutions available and presenting options and recommendations to the customer on which ones to use Supporting the Robotic Process Automation Center of Excellence in the creation of foundational policies and standards. Keeping current on emerging technology capabilities including (but not limited to) Robotic Process Automation, Intelligent Optical Character Recognition, Blockchain, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence ChatBots, and Machine Learning BasicRequired Legally authorized to work in the United States Bachelor s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline 3+ years of Information Technology experience Proficient (perform skill with limited assistance) with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Preferred IT Business Analyst Experience IT Project Management experience Experience with project management methodology and tools, including AgileScrum Experience related to finance or accounting functions Experience implementing cloud applications in an enterprise environment Experience with emerging technology focus areas such as Robotics Process Automation, iOCR, or Analytics Ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects Experience with the oil and gas industry Makes difficult decisions and communicates those decisions effectively SAP experience Business process management (BPM) experience Organizational change management experience Good verbal and written communication skills and validated ability to influence Self-motivated with a strong customer orientation Validated ability to build and maintain key business relationships Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals Generates effective solutions based on available information To be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date of April 17, 2019.
