The Role:

As an iOS Development Team Lead, you will lead a dynamic cross-functional team with the goal of providing customers with an exceptional app experience. The mobile apps team is helping to accomplish Overstock's vision to connect people with products and services in new and unexpected ways. We do our part to create dream homes for all. In this full-time position, you will work with this collaborative team to add new features, author clean code, integrate SDKs, fix bugs, and improve app stability.

What You Will Do:

  • Leads a team working on significant and critical projects. Provides both technical and team leadership and mentoring.
  • Works closely with Product Manager to have a solid understanding of business and product.
  • Responsible for delivering projects on budget, on time, to requirements, and with high quality.
  • Responsible for gathering, evaluation, change, and tracking of project requirements through realization in production code. Coordinates with business to ensure requirements are sufficient for development tasks to proceed.
  • Responsible for breaking work down into tasks; delegating tasks to appropriate resources; and managing task completion. Accepts and creates work estimates and completion status, and integrates them into schedules and project plans.
  • Builds strong working relationships within team and with business partners. Coordinates work across teams or organizations as necessary to complete projects.
  • Responsible for the well-being of the team, work performance, development, education, and training, maintaining standards of behavior, promoting mutual respect and dignity, and provide an example of behavior.
  • Understands all phases of the company software development life cycle and how to apply the appropriate methodologies and processes to the situation at hand.
  • Able to analyze and evaluate technical risks within the scope of a project and make judicious recommendations.
  • May demonstrate industry leadership in technology, consortium, or standards.
  • Takes an active role in the hiring process of new developers and testers.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations of team members and assisting in the compensation process.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
  • Follow legal policies as directed.
  • What You Should Have:

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience as an iOS developer
  • Extensive experience in Mobile Development with Swift, Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, ARKit, UIKit framework, Core Data.
  • Maintained an app with > 200k+ users
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Experience building a team of & developing iOS developers
  • Experience in handling app releases and apple interface
  • Ability to perform technical risk analysis
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Physical Requirements:

    This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
