And its waiting for you now.We apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve our customers missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar and everything in between.General Dynamics has an immediate need for an Information Systems Specialist supporting our team in Scottsdale, Arizona.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Provide on-going support for the various development and test components associated with the infrastructure of a mission critical productProvide the day-to-day care of the system components, provide the technical support for the users of the system, and assist in the configuration management of the systemDuties include installing new software/hardware, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications and training usersServe as lab team interface to users with technical issuesPlan, organize and execute lab support taskingProvide weekly lab status to leadershipMaintain the integrity and security of servers and systemsPerform OS and vendor software patching on serversCreate scripts to automate repetitive processesMake recommendations for hardware and software purchaseInteract with third-party technology vendors and internal technical staffOn occasion, provide on-site support for new product version installations and associated testingKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Hands-on experience deploying and supporting enterprise server solutionsDeploy, configure, and manage RHEL, Pitbull and Windows serversConfigure and administer a variety of virtualized environments install and manage network equipment, including switches, routers and firewallsConfigure and administer storage devicesInvestigate and troubleshoot issuesSupport the engineering in troubleshooting and resolving issuesRepresent the organization as the customer contactTake ownership of getting project deliverables done on schedule and within budgetShow initiative on assignments, exercise independent judgment and professionally execute projectsShare skills and knowledge with team members to be more effectiveAdditional Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Networking (Cisco IOS)Virtual Machines (VMare)Rational Team Concert (RTC)System/Network Monitoring ToolsAutomated workstation deploymentCertifications:CISSPSecurity +RHEL Certification is a plus
