In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.Job DescriptionThis internship will conduct research in the area of power electronics and microgrid with Inverter-Based Resources (IBR) with focus on using internet-of-things (IOT) devices and blockchain technology to enhance the coordination of IBRs for advanced system operation and control. The work will be demonstrated in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop setup. Basic QualificationsMust be enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree program, or graduated in the past 12 months from an accredited institution. Internship period cannot exceed 12 months past graduation. Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Please Note: • You will need to upload official or unofficial school transcripts as part of the application process.• If selected for position, a letter of recommendation will be required as part of the hiring process.Additional Required QualificationsRecent MSEE graduate and currently engaged in PhD level studies (Ph.D. Students are highly preferred)Solid background in Power Electronics and/or Power Systems (research experience in microgrid and/or multiple inverter coordination is preferred)Experience in Embedded System (preferably using Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone, or Arduino)Programming experience in Golang, Java script, or Nodejs, is a big plus.Software skills: MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIMTexas Instruments DSP experience including Code Composer and/or Code GenerationExcellent writing and communications skills and ability to present technical results to a wide audienceExperience with hardware prototyping and designExperience in hardware-in-the-loop testingPreferred QualificationsBenefits SummaryBenefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) Employee Savings Plan with employer match*; and sick leave (where required by law).
