GAO: Global IT Audit Manager

Ford Motor Company, Dearborn Michigan, is seeking a Global IT Audit Manager to join their team. This role will report to the IT Audit Director and be responsible for the development and execution of the IT audit plan including integrated IT support of business audits. The audit team is currently designing and implementing a modernization plan. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to make an immediate impact bringing expertise and external experience.

The Audit team recently implemented a number of process changes to improve the experience for the operation, focusing on risk and being an independent and trusted advisory. Advisory reviews for new and emerging areas of the business were part of the recent changes. 2018 brings a new set of goals with an increased focus on risk based auditing. This position is central to researching, embracing and implementing new approaches.

The General Auditors Office (GAO) is a trusted advisor which provides an increasing selection of audit responses such as advisory reviews in addition to internal auditing functions for both business and IT entities.

The Internal Audit organization has a global footprint with IT Audit team members located across six countries.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop an understanding of the organization business processes, goals, and strategy in order to provide sound analysis and interpretation of IT risks and Technology challenges.

* Be responsible for the examination and analysis of technology and business risks by performing IT audit work, developing audit plans, scope, procedures, and preparing audit reports.

* Research industry trends applicable to the environment including automotive, financial, mobility, technology, cyber and audit

* Develop risk based IT audit plan

* Assist in assessing areas of risk requiring IT audit procedures.

* Execute IT audit procedures based on risk and impact to the business, across different applications, Technologies and Business processes, and in collaboration with internal and external partners and monitor completion of planned actions.

* Support departmental transformation with pilots of new processes and audit responses

* Proactively identify areas of business initiatives and changes in the business environment and assess their impact on the business and the control environment

* Partner with global business audit team

* Liaise with internal Cyber Defense and Security Policy teams

* 10% travel (Europe and Asia Pacific)

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors in Computer Science or technical equivalent

* 5+ years of IT Audit or IT Security experience

* Audit Certification (CISA or similar technical certification)

Preferred Qualifications

* Extensive knowledge of industry security frameworks (NIST, ISO etc.) and understanding inherent and control risks

* 10+ years of IT experience including software engineering, application dev ops and/or infrastructure design and operations

* 5+ years leading global teams

* 5+ years leading organization of at least 50 employees

* 5+ years supplier relationship management experience

* Experience transforming a global audit team

* Comfortable working in a dynamically changing environment with minimal direction, taking a leadership role as a change agent to implement new processes

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership in varying areas of business and IT

* Possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all actions

* Proven project management skills, effective at leading multiple initiatives simultaneously with minimal direction

* The IT Audit Manager role has visibility to high-level business and IT management, providing a wide perspective on the Ford Automotive, Credit and Mobility businesses. The role has exposure to a wide variety of leading edge technologies (Mobility, Connected Vehicle, Autonomous Vehicle, Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain).
