Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.

Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Primarily a resource/ allocation role, coordinating the daily activities of a work group and setting priorities to ensure task completion. Supervises within prescribed procedures with management review and approval. Maintains orderly work processes by coordinating work flow and work quality. Provides technical/functional leadership, as well as first line supervision, but does not have hire/fire authority. Uses individual knowledge and skills to develop team members.

Oracle is looking for an Executive Communications Manager to support cloud-focused content development for senior executives. This position requires a proven executive communications expert, who has successfully developed keynote presentations for global conferences and events, keynote and video scripts and highly engaging customer presentations - with a primary emphasis being on public cloud services and advanced technologies such as Machine Learning, Blockchain and IoT. This role provides the qualified candidate with the opportunity to collaborate with Oracle senior executives to increase mind share amongst both external and internal constituencies for PaaS, SaaS, IaaS and DaaS. The primary audience for these communication materials will be Oracle customers.


* Create customer-centric presentation materials, videos, scripts, communiques and other documents to support senior executive communication requirements
* Develop a deep understanding of internal and external customer segments, their challenges and business requirements, and how Oracle Cloud adds value to their organizations
* Coordinate and manage executive communication calendars and ensure timely delivery of multiple communication materials, many of which will be on concurrent development schedules
* Be an expert on recent market data analyses, news feeds, social media feeds, and industry research and proactively provide recommendations based on current trends
* Manage multiple complex tasks, simultaneously, working with both internal and external designers, content development resources and agencies
* Work on multiple, simultaneous marketing programs that require both strategic thinking as well as high-speed tactical execution
* Generate project updates and present analysis to senior management

Preferred Qualifications

* 10 years of professional experience in the information technology industry, in a business-to-business capacity, supporting senior executives in the development of high-profile external and internal communication materials
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Strong business and technical background in public cloud services, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, DaaS, Blockchain, IoT and Machine Learning
* Proven track record of leading and managing complex executive communication projects with aggressive schedules and variable resources
* Capable of rapid absorption of new subject matter across business, market and technical market specific domains, namely SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and DaaS
* Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects with precision and systematic execution
* Demonstrated ownership and accountability of results in an end-to-end project lifecycle
* Ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable segments, develop specifications, then execute them successfully on time and on budget
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or related field
* Strong cross-functional team/project management, interpersonal, and influencing skills
* Must be flexible, innovative, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with keen eye on detail
* Must possess in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
* 25% travel

Position Location: Onsite at Oracle HQ in Redwood City, CA (San Francisco Bay Area)

Travel Component: Approx. 25% travel may be required to successfully fill this role
