Our New Products Manufacturing Group is hiring an Equipment and Failure Analysis (FA) Technician to join our team.What You'll Do...Position will be responsible for creating and maintaining inventory of key manufacturing assets including tools, equipment, thermal chambers and product transport vehicles.+ Will be responsible to track preventative maintenance, calibration and repairs to ensure all assets are within specification, functioning properly and safe to operate+ Will be responsible to interface with suppliers and service contractors as needed to perform the above services+ Must be able to diagnose errors or technical problems and work closely with the manufacturing engineering team on determining proper solutions+ May be required to perform basic repairs and upgrades+ Will be responsible for inspecting for any malfunctions and immediately reporting/repairing defective equipment to prevent delays in productivity+ Additional responsibilities may include utilizing a system/database to coordinate equipment maintenance activities+ Good communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills are required+ Troubleshoot board and ECAT fails and determine root cause+ Provide FA disposition to procurement engineers and Suppliers+ Develop and maintain quality metrics+ Drive process improvements to help reduce line and process defectsRequired Technical and Professional ExpertiseIn addition to strong verbal and written communication skills, you'll need...+ 1+ year of manufacturing experience with understanding of related processes, logistics, Inventory Control and high-quality deliverables+ Solid knowledge and understanding in power, mainframe hardware and related test applications+ Innovation mindset with good negotiation skills+ Detail oriented and client focus with strong organization and administration skills+ Flexible, Able to work in changing conditions to meet target deliverables and ship dates+ Ability to work independently, prioritize and balance workload to meet commitments within defined schedules+ Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering+ 5+ years of Manufacturing experience in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance+ 5+ years of experience on Board Manufacturing and Board Failure AnalysisPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Foundational experience and/or knowledge of agile practicesAbout Business UnitIBM Systems helps IT leaders think differently about their infrastructure.
