ICF's IT Modernization division is seeking an experienced Director, Enterprise Architect for opportunities based in our Arlington, VA office in support of initiatives related to digital transformation, modernization and enterprise strategy. This role is a high visibility, technology leadership position requiring an extensive background and operational experience with architectural engagements, familiarity with major industry products and frameworks, a deep comprehension of industry standards and implementation techniques with a proven track record of leading modernization using products and services delivery. Position includes architectural artifact and transitional roadmap development, system design, software prototyping, team mentoring and many other leadership activities in a dynamic client and business partner facing atmosphere.Primary Responsibilities:Engages diverse organizations, industry partners and clients during business acquisition phases and for all capture activitiesProduces technical solutions with detailed narrative for proposal development and supports key personnel requirements during procurement phases such as orals, technical challenges, etc.Collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop a deep and thorough understanding of the client enterprise while leading large, multi-year program initiatives as a Chief ArchitectProduces vision and strategy collateral, and creates roadmaps to lead modernization effortsApplies a proven track record of portfolio assessments, target technology and IT landscape specifications and technical asset configuration to meet digital transformation objectivesImplements and manages the architecture definition and realization activity using formal delivery and lifecycle methodsServes as one of the primary technological points of contact in the organization, responsible for guidance and overarching technical oversight, governance, architecture alignment and construction efforts, including team leadership and mentoringOversees vendor interactions and the effectuation of products, services, platform(s) and other solutions along the roadmap while ensuring that technical milestones are following the program scheduleDevelops effective standards, leads technical resources, monitors and mitigates risk, quality, security, tools adoption, etc., and ensures success in the execution of these areasParticipates in, and leads formal technology evaluations, proofs of concept and other R activity, providing client demonstrations and various solutioning and educational presentations to assert vetting, making recommendations and facilitating client buy-inCoordinates and collaborates in developing mission requirements and business outcomes with executive leadership, business stakeholders, various technical teams, contractors, etc.Serves as the technical strategy and solutions champion, fostering adoption of emerging technologies, resolving issues, responding to questions, and prescribing technical propositions by working directly with leadership, staff, and contractorsAuthors and presents documentation, briefings, SLAs and technical standards for the architectural runwayWorks closely, leads and coordinates with other architects and additional members of the technical leadership and all other program teamsActs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Practice/COE leader for one or more focus areas in trending technologies such as Blockchain, AI/ML/Data Science, Security, Low-code Platforms, IoT, Cloud, etc.Skills and Qualifications:BS or MS in information systems, data or computer science10+ years of technology leadership roles and participation in major COTS/custom integration projects and transformation programs at scale6+ years of experience in enterprise-scope architectural engagements, technical leadership at the program level, along with a demonstrated, successful track record of deliveryExperience and accomplishments with de-facto cloud providers (AWS/Azure/Google), applying serverless products using managed services and platform-based application technologies in solution architecture, design and system developmentExcellent oral communications, bringing thought, vision and strategy leadership with excellent presentation skillsExperience with delivering architecture domains for Business, Data, Application and Technology within formal industry methodologies such as TOGAF, FEAF, etc.Experience with PaaS/SaaS platform architectures and services provisioning using Appian/ServiceNow/PowerApps, etc.Application of one or more enterprise architecture modeling tools such as (Sparx EA, Mega, Visual Paradigm, etc.) Certifications : TOGAF 9.1, PMP, CSM, ServiceNow Certified, Appian Lead Designer Certification, Salesforce Certified, SAFe Agilist, etc. Working at ICF Working at ICF means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of our day.
