If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesBe a critical member of our Storage Insights DevOps team!IBM Storage Insights is a cloud-based service that provides customers an unparalleled level of visibility across their storage environment to help them manage complex storage infrastructures and make cost-saving decisions. Our DevOps team manages the operations and life cycle for this offering. We are in need of a strong candidate experienced with networking, especially with Juniper. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of network architecture, how the various components of the network work together, and demonstrated experience managing Juniper networks or equivalent experience in Cisco. Additionally, we are seeking a candidate with development skills for automation, to continually improve our operations.Job Duties:Responsibilities and skills required are those typical of operating a Juniper network for a Cloud application in a high available environment.Support Dev & DevOps:+ Address New Requests: IP/subnet, VPN, Nat/Firewall/routing rules+ 24x7 CritSit rotational coverage within DevOps Team+ Network Outage Root Cause AnalysisMaintenance Activities:+ Maintain Juniper Gateways and DNS Servers - availability, capacity, performance+ Manage VPN Tunnels+ Network upgrades+ Tooling for Access, Monitoring and Performance Management+ Security ComplianceAdditional skills that would complement the team:+ Automations / Scripting - Ansible, Shell, Python+ GitHub+ Monitoring tools knowledge - Zabbix, Grafana+ Juniper Server ManagementPosition can be located in San Jose, CA; Tucson, AZ; Austin, TX; Houston, TX, Research Triangle Park, NC; Rochester, MN or Poughkeepsie, NYRequired Technical and Professional Expertise+ A minimum of 3 years of experience with Juniper Networking and maintaining Juniper Network Gateway devices (or equivalent experience in Cisco)+ A minimum of 3 years of experience with IBM Cloud + SoftLayer network infrastructure+ Demonstrated experience in VPN, Subnets, Routing, and Tunnels+ Experience with configuration and maintenance of DNS Servers+ Experience with firewall devices - Juniper, Vyatta+ Familiarity with Cloud architecture components- Cassandra, Kafka, object storage, load balancers, reverse proxies+ Familiarity with Communication protocols (TCP/IP), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), NAT, Tunnels, Subnets, VLANs+ Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting, collaborating across teams to achieve business objectives+ Good oral and written communication skills+ Attention to detail, proactive self-starter and commitment to meeting deadlines+ Problem solving abilities: ability to identify issues and provide solutionsPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Linux system administration - RedHat and/or CentOS, Ubuntu+ Scripting/automation - Python, Bash, Ansible+ Dashboard/Performance - Grafana, Kibana+ Industry standard CI/CD pipeline - GitHubAbout Business UnitIBM Systems helps IT leaders think differently about their infrastructure.
