If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWho We Are...In case you may or may not be familiar with the term 'Inner Source' it essentially means that we use the Open Source collaboration, co-creation and community working model but the community boundaries are within a company or organization. While the concept seems simple, in practice it is extremely challenging for software developers to operate at an enterprise scale to contribute to other projects given the... well, you know... scale. We will need to overcome technical, behavioral, and cultural factors that create friction and inhibit progress.The Inner Source program office is tasked with scaling Inner Source at IBM and is assembling a multidisciplinary team that is passionate about Inner Source and Open Source and is committed to creating an exceptional experience for developers who are contributing to or maintaining Inner Source projects.Our team will provide guidance for Inner Source project maintainers, contributors and pretty much anyone and everyone engaged in an Inner Source ecosystem. We will work directly with developers, leaders, architects, designers, and product managers as enablers to help grow Inner Source communities, increase the number of contributors to Inner Source projects and increase adoption of those projects through reuse. We are looking for an Inner Source DevOps Engineer to join this team and help us bring Inner Source to IBM.Who You Are...As an Inner Source DevOps Engineer you'll use your expertise in DevOps tooling, practices, test, automation, TDD, etc. You possess a wholistic view of DevOps by nature and your goal is to make Inner Source contributions easier and more hands-off. You bring strong DevOps technical skills combined with a passionate need to enable your fellow software developers with the tools, documentation, processes, automation, etc. that, which will allow us to scale Inner Source across IBM.As an Inner Source DevOps Engineer you will work with and learn from the best global DevOps leaders across IBM.
