Reach is a programming language and specialized compiler that allows full-stack developers to build decentralized applications at a fraction of the cost, complexity, and time. We are drastically reducing the barrier to entry into blockchain development and are well on our way to becoming the central platform developers around the world use to build on blockchain. Reach is growing rapidly and just closed its Series A investment round. Over the next several months the company will be prioritizing aggressive developer acquisition and onboarding with the intention of establishing a global and loyal Reach developer network. Simultaneously, the company will be building out its enterprise offering for multinational corporations, tools to enhance developers' experience building on Reach, and a suite of applications directly usable by everyday consumers (think Microsoft Office Suite for blockchain!). Our goal is to ultimately become the lens through which everyday people conceptualize and understand the decentralized network. The Developer Evangelist will work with the teams focused on developer acquisition and community engagement to ensure that the questions, concerns, and additional support requested from Reach's developer community are adequately addressed in a timely manner. This candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that Reach grows its developer retention and the strength of its network, namely one of the most important factors in driving Reach's future growth goals. Members of Reach's developer community with relevant experience are highly encouraged to apply!Responsibilities: Take leadership in managing Reach's #help channel in Discord. This channel allows members of Reach's community including Bounty Hack participants to ask questions and share challenges they are facing while building on Reach. Identify frequently faced challenges and questions and bring to the attention of Reach's CTO, CEO, and rest of the senior management team. Develop solutions for addressing these challenges and test them quickly to assess effectiveness and pivot approach as needed. Proactively identify potential future community related challenges and put in place the resources, tools, etc. needed to avoid them. Research and keep abreast of best practices in developer community retention and engagement and implement them as appropriate (this may include adoption of a platform or customer management system that allows us to more effectively keep track of our users, and better document community-based issues, concerns, questions as they arise) Meet regularly with globally based soon to be hired Community Managers to understand geographically based challenges faced by managers and support them as needed. RequirementsGeneral software development experience: BS in Computer Science preferred Programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript Experience with standard build tools and version control systems (git) Experience in Continuous Delivery (CD) and strong knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as CircleCI and Azure Working knowledge of programming tools, operating systems, and related technologies required. Working experience with cloud computing platforms (Docker, OpenStack, AWS) and cloud technologies required Experience with Full knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Familiar with using React Community management related experience: Current active member of Reach's developer community highly preferred Experience with online customer support for technical teams, ideally developer support. Problem-solving oriented mentality and an ability to understand customer pain points when they may not always be clearly communicated ( i.e., an ability to uncover user challenges through interviews, feedback mechanisms etc.) Experience building capacity of others (leading trainings, workshops etc.) preferred General experience serving as a customer advocate and spokesperson General: Enjoy working remotely and are intrinsically motivated Able to deal with ambiguity You are a self-starter You are a people person at heart and enjoy connecting with others Benefits Employee stock-options Flexible work schedule Paid time off Health and dental insurance
