Business Unit: Senior Data Engineer, Data Solutions- Comcast Global Audit Team

Primary Responsibilities:
Participate as active members of the engagement team by generating insights on risks for audit scope areas through data analytics and automation. This includes building data sets for our risk models and data repositories as well as developing systems capable of processing millions of events and building a historical view into the enterprise operations of our wide-array of data. The individual in this role will work on the collection and enrichment system with components for quality, timeliness, scale and reliability and be responsible for the ingestion and processing of data, create and empower insights from dashboards/scorecards with data cubes. Additionally, the individual in this role will work with other Data Solutions Analysts who provide visibility to the enterprise through data analytics. In this role you will gain broad exposure to the Comcast Corporation data landscape through the audit analytics process.

Core Responsibilities:
What You Deliver
-Extract, transform, load, (ETL) manipulate, visualize, and provide accurate, relevant, timely, and cohesive data sets that support the identification of risk areas for Internal Audit. Apply business rules to our data as we migrate from source to target using scripting languages. Validate data to ensure quality.
-Develop technical designs, build and test marts for consumption by users.
-Uses data concepts, tools, and programming techniques including R, Python, SQL, MS SQL Server development, Sqoop, Teradata, Hadoop or comparable platforms (e.g., Oracle Business Intelligence, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, SAS) for data staging and analysis.
-Preparing, staging, scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining automated data processes from large disconnected datasets into a production environment.
-Build and analyze high-performance data stores and a massive historical data store using best-of-breed and industry-leading technology.
-Develop optimized tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing risk projects into an innovative industry leader.
-Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets
-Applies analytical models (e.g., regression, simulation, statistical, etc.) to data sets in risk areas to identify outliers, trends and/or projections, where appropriate.
-Extracts signals and signatures from raw data, integrates that information with other data sources and compiles/disseminates data sets. Identifies patterns, and trends in data.
-Refines audit risk scope areas that can be scored, modeled and automated through data analytics and works with risk teams to implement.
-Identifies opportunities for improvement to team activities, infrastructure, tools, and training.
-Ensures all data is secure and follows company policies regarding data classification.-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Supports department objectives and performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
-Assists less experienced team members in understanding and executing internal audit methodology and standards.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

-Adhere and contribute to enterprise data governance standards. Also educates and supports colleagues in best practices to ensure that data is used appropriately.
-Displays regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Available to work variable schedule(s), nights and weekends if necessary.
-Out-of-town travel is approximately 10%.

-Partners with internal audit Analytics, internal audit Robotics Automation, Enterprise Data Champions, Enterprise Business Intelligence, Data Platform Owners, Data Warehouse and Reporting Teams.
-Trains others throughout the organization in using key analytical, data quality, and statistical analysis tools.
-Assists less experienced internal audit members in understanding and executing data analytics and automation activities.

Educational, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Management Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science strongly preferred or other business related field with solid academic credentials.
-Generally requires 5-7 years related experience
-Experience with NoSQL databases and HBase preferred.
-Highly proficient in SQL preferred.
