POSITION OVERVIEWJob Title: Data Analyst, Global Quality Digital TransformationThe vision of Global Quality's Digital Transformation Team is to help provide extremely easy to use and meaningful Digital Solutions that will give Sanofi the ability to maximize productivity & meet our customer's expectations enabled by the integrity, innovation, teamwork, and the creativity of our people. The team's mission is to identify, design, compliantly deploy, and support Digital & Technology Solutions to drive productivity and efficiency gains throughout Sanofi's Quality Network in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS), Platforms (Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines), and our site's goals.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:1) Digital Transformation throughout Sanofi's Quality organization through the implementation and adoption of digital solutions and managing associated organizational changes.2) Continuous Improvement of Digital Solutions through the harmonization of processes and technologies.3) Network Leadership in the design, deployment, and support of digital and technology solutions.4) Collaboration with global, platform and site quality, SMS/Fit4 initiatives, Industrial Affairs Digital Center (IADC), aka Digital Factory 4.0, and ITS teams to ensure digital, electronic, and information technology solutions meet organization's and users' expectations.5) Provide Data Science and Data Analytic services to Sanofi's Global Quality organization to understand opportunities for improvement and solve problems. Build associated justification for proposed solutions. Advices the business on the potential of data, to provide new insights into the business's mission, and through the use of advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization techniques, to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance.Position Overview with Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities may differ among employees with same job title and may change over time in accordance with business needs.The Global Quality Digital Transformation Data Analyst is a key enabler of the achievement of Sanofi's Quality objectives of leveraging data, digital, and technology-based solutions to drastically improve quality operations and bringing biopharmaceutical products to the marketplace. Discovering and implementing solutions using data is critical to the success of this role.The Data Analyst develops business solutions through the constant modification of the existing business intelligence and digital solutions. The Data Analyst additionally designs, codes, debugs, tests, documents, and supports digital/technical solutions consistent with established business requirements and specifications in order to deliver the highest possible value to the business.The Data Analyst oversees and conducts the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions. She/He works directly with stakeholders and Global Quality's top management and executives. The Data Analyst will have to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and remain functional under pressure, and aggressive timelines.1) The Data Analyst develops clear and well-structured analytical plans and analyzes large data-sets that will primarily include analyzing process, operational, and product quality data and other data-sets and provide statistical analysis of a mildly urgent/sensitive nature.2) The Data Analyst plays a part in shaping the business's data infrastructure, inclusive of data-warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.3) She/He identifies, communicates, and works to resolve data gaps that impact the fulfillment of the business's functional requirements. The Data Analyst identifies, evaluates, and documents potential data sources in support of project requirements.4) The Data Analyst is responsible to build and operationalize processes that ensure timely data-loading and maintain accuracy and relevance of data used.5) Support: The Data Analyst plays a supporting role in the business where she/he develops logical and conceptual data flows that are in support of departmental project requirements and guides various business departments in appropriate and effective use of data. The Data Analyst supports and executes change management activities with regard to data analysis across Quality and Industrial Affairs. She/He mines the business's databases in search of critical business insights and communicates findings to the relevant departments and the business at large. He/She additionally identifies and communicates risks and issues in projects/programs and communicates this information to the relevant leadership. The Senior Data Analyst uses data to guide the organization through all Quality sponsored programs and initiatives, enabling continuous improvement in data quality, departmental performance, and overall business performance.6) Collaboration: The Data Analyst works within and across the Quality Organization in order to understand functional and data requirements and with collegues in ensuring constant compliance with standards and to effect change where merited. In this collaborative capacity, the Data Analyst further works with the Quality Heads and key stakeholders, in developing detailed business requirements, conducting gap analyses, creating functional designs, and guiding the teams through analytical data processing when needed.7) Analytics: A candidate for this position must demonstrate a deep interest in research and data analysis, drawing actionable insights form raw data and information to help further the business's cause. The candidate will be skilled in statistical modeling and trending, performing quantitative analysis, and technological data mining. The Data Analyst proactively plays an analytical role where she/he is responsible for developing KPIs within the business for the purpose of identifying trends and evaluating the success of the business's initiatives. The Data Analyst additionally develops models and ad hoc reports, sharing observations and recommendations with management, executives, and stakeholders for further consideration. In this capacity, the Data Analyst builds statistical models, diagnoses, validates, and improves the performance of these models over time in addition to creating efficient and reusable Python/SQL/Other code meant for the improvement, manipulation, and analysis of data. The Data Analyst may also be tasked with the regular maintenance and upgrade of data warehouses servers such as SQL/Oracle or cloud-based Data Lakes (AWS).8) Communication Skill: Communication skills for the Data Analyst are a must have and this is both in written and verbal form. The Data Analyst will also be required to draw reports for the organization, management, and key stakeholders. These reports have to be clear, convincing, informative, engaging, unambiguous, and uniquely tailored to suit different audiences.The candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset,exceptional attention to detail, have an ability to handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines. The Data Analyst have innovative problem solving skills, be self-motivated and proactive, and demonstrate calmness during time of uncertainty and stress. The Data Analyst plays a very interactive role and to be able to effectively execute his/her duties. Must have a natural ability to get along with people and establish strong and meaningful relationships with others.9) Computer Skills/Ms Office/Software: The Data Analyst must possess exceptional computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in using Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint, which are all necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports. The Data Analyst will also demonstrate skills in SQL server reporting services, analysis services, Tableau, Qlikview or any other data visualization tools.10) Ability to educate and train personnel on the use of data and digital solutions with a focus on best in class user experience11) Participate and support a Data Analytics Community of Practice forums to educate, identify, and prioritize opportunities for Sanofi Quality.12) Support teams that are using lean techniques and identify opportunities that could be of value.Basic Qualifications Basic qualifications are the minimum requirements that an individual needs to meet the needs to meet the job description. The requirements need to be quantifiable (e.g., two years of project management experience).The Data Analyst has to have a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for this position.The Data Analyst will also have had experience working in report creation, modeling, and trend forecasting. A suitable candidate will have a strong background in SQL and or python.The position also requires a demonstrated ability to create, troubleshoot, and enhance the business's data loadings. He/She will additionally have a clear understanding of key IT business systems, reporting and analytics, and data warehousing.
