Join a team of proven leaders who have already created billions of dollars in value in the FinTech space About the Role The Data Analyst is a key team member supporting the business with reports and analytics to make quality, data-driven decisions. The Analyst will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data. We are looking for a driven, data loving, team player that will jump in and thrive in a fast paced startup environment. What youll do Partner closely with data and business teams and support them with high quality reporting and analytics. Be a champion for data accuracy and consistent reporting. Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. Use both descriptive and predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, underwriting as well as other business outcomes. What were looking for 2-4 years of professional experience manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, complex datasets… all while making insights easy to consume for a general audience. Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources. Strong SQL skills. The ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries are bare minimums. Advanced Tableau development skills with a track record of developing visualizations that drive and optimize business outcomes. Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units. Excellent communication skills for coordinating across teams. There is a heavy emphasis on cross functional work and you must be able to deal with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities. Experience shaping questions asked by the broader business and answering them; these data driven answers will facilitate and influence product strategy. Ability to thrive and succeed in a startup environment. A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative field preferred. Bonus Points: Currently work in Fintech. Previous experience with Google Cloud. Understanding of relational modeling and performance tuning along with the ability to write your own functions and/or stored procedures. R and/or Python coding skills. Hungry to learn and grow, especially from mistakes (we all make them) Unsolved puzzles irk you.
