Position Overview Reporting to the VP of Services, you will be responsible for managing one or more of our professional services teams. We need a well-rounded individual who not only has a deep technical background in offensive and defensive cybersecurity activities, but who also has executive presence, a deep commitment to their team's career development, a fanatical obsession with customer success, and a relentless restlessness to strategically position and improve the security practice's core service offerings. Accountable for Quarterly customer net promoter score objectives and key results Quarterly team utilization and gross margin objectives and key results Quarterly practice improvement objectives and key results Quarterly team career development objectives and key results Quarterly team retention objectives and key results Required qualifications 10+ years of industry experience with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity space Prior experience in an outward and customer facing role Prior experience in people and project management Prior experience managing a technical team Bachelors in business, computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics Desired qualifications Prior cyber security consulting experience Prior experience communicating with c-suite executives and board of directors Familiarity with common development practices such as waterfall, agile, and scrum Familiarity with software maturity models such as OpenSAMM, BSIMM, and SDL Familiarity with security design patterns, cloud blueprints, and common architectures Familiarity with NIST CSF and other risk frameworks and governance models Familiarity with Google Beyond Corp and other advanced defensive design models Familiarity with MITRE ATTCK and various detection response solutions Familiarity with offensive security, advanced attack and pen, and red teams Familiarity with threat hunting, incident readiness, and incident response Advanced degree or MBA Desired behaviors Customer centric focus with an obsessive need to wow and delight each client Ability to 'helicopter' up and down from frontline technical issues to board level strategy Ability to simplify technical concepts into a form that is suitable for executives Deep leadership and managerial traits with an orientation to action and an extreme style of ownership Entrepreneurial traits with a move fast and get it done mentality Obtains fulfillment in helping people do what they do best and grow in their career Relentless restlessness to improve service execution, service delivery, and the service practice Ability to maintain high levels of output and work ethic Personable individual who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment Comfort dealing with ambiguity in an environment where we build the plane as we fly it Ability to work within constraints and to challenge the status quo Ability to self-direct work, orient to action, and truly own the position in a hyper-growth environment Ability to translate business objectives into tactical, technical activities and vice versa If this position is wildly successful, in one year you will have Taken complete ownership of the directorship Become the driving force behind your team's direction 90 or greater net promotor score 90 or greater employee satisfaction score 80 or greater client retention 80 or greater resource utilization 65 or greater gross margin 10 or less voluntary team attrition Compensation package includes Highly competitive salary Annual performance-based incentive compensation Employee stock option plan Annual budget for training, certifications, and conferences 70 company coverage on health insurance premium 4 company 401K matching vested immediately No formal vacation policy with flexible hours and working environment In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
