Cyber Analyst We are seeking a Cyber Analyst to support a clients operations. The Cyber Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day security threat monitoring and analysis. You will work on threat intelligence, forensics and incident response that adhere to best practices and recognized control frameworks.This position requires an active security clearance and will support our client 100% onsite. Cyber Analyst to provide the following support:Ability to follow process documentation and use analytical skills to interpret varied events and situationsAbility to generate comprehensive written reports and recommendationsPerform vulnerability assessments on networks, workstations, servers, applications, and other IT assets.Identifies where systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.Identify gaps in vulnerably assessment processes and provide recommendations for improvements.Provide support and training for vulnerability tools and works with vendors to find resolution for identified issues.Stay abreast of new trends and innovations within the information systems and cyber security communities.Verify remediation of identified issues using automated tools and manual techniques.Create and maintain IT process documentation/system configurations and update when necessary.Perform analysis on security findings/vulnerabilities to provide solutions and or recommendations for administrators to implement.Other duties may be assignedCyber Analyst position requirements:3 + years of experience with the operating systems structures of Unix/Linux, Microsoft Windows, Apple, and their internals (e.g. process management, directory structure, and installing applications).1 + year of experience performing real-time data tracking and effective clustering of virtual currency wallet hosts for development.Shall identify the fact that a virtual currency mixer/tumbler has been utilized during a virtual currency movement, and then produce a report outlining the transaction and its possible relationship with illegal activity on the dark web.Shall develop in audible format virtual currency transactions by date, amount transacted, incoming vs outgoing, and identify the last known virtual currency amount in a virtual currency wallet.1 + year of creating and exporting analysis reports for briefings in a field environment or for upper management.Shall create analytical products and exportation of information, regarding virtual currency investigations involving block chain technology (e.g. Bitcoin and Alt Coins).Provide analysis to determine information associated with virtual currency transactions through various sources, including micro-purchases, social media, as well as produce bi-weekly in a clear, concise manner with conclusions.For more information about the company please visit our website at is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
