Lockheed Martin's Cyber Inside program deploys cybersecurity experts across the corporation to provide agile, responsive cybersecurity support to meet those customer needs. Security engineering, security architecting, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response, authorization and accreditation, embedded cybersecurity - the Cyber Inside team does it all! If you are looking for new and exciting ways to use your skills, without the instability of switching jobs or companies, then the Cyber Inside team is for you!The primary role will be supporting research & development and capability integration activities across multiple products and capabilities. This will include development of next generation Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, AI/ML system integration, cyber defense knowledge management systems, and computer network operations tool development. Role also includes security engineering and cyber defense consulting. Development activities will occur across multiple architectures, interfaces, applications and tools - and developers of in all parts of the software stack are needed. Role will most likely include some travel for site integrations and will provide the candidate with opportunity to explore multiple technologies and environments. Candidate should possess an understanding of cyber threat intelligence analysis and current threat landscape and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.Position is based out of Hanover, MD but will include work from home as tasking allows. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the following:- Development in support of research & development efforts and product integration for end-customers- Vulnerability analysis and SW/HW/FW exploitation- Deployment of distributed cyber tool sets, and custodianship of assets - Systems security engineering- SOC (Security Operations Center) design, deployment, and operations- Designing of secure service endpoints- Development threat aware and defensive software- Product and tool interface creation- Improve cyber resiliency of clients by architecting, designing and developing defensive cyber products- Help teams implement practices and tools to foster secure codeBasic Qualifications:- Current development skills in one or more of the following: C/C++, Assembly, Python, Go, Java, Rust- Understanding of software/hardware reverse engineering and vulnerability discovery techniques- Broad knowledge of debugging and tracing of executables on remote and local assets - Understanding of exploit discovery and development techniques- Knowledge of security policy and compliance- Working experience with various network and host-based defense technologies, such as IDS/IPS, Firewalls, AV, HIPS, and/or EDR- Secure architecture design and development- Solid technical understanding of all layers of TCP/IP stack- Proven ability to quickly learn new analysis techniques with guidance from other senior team membersDesired Skills:- Ability to conduct a wide variety of exploitation and penetration testing activities including network penetration testing, web application penetration testing, wireless/RF penetration testing and some user awareness (social engineering) testing- Working knowledge of Defensive Cyberspace Operations, including intrusion response and analaysis, APT emulation, cyber threat intelligence analysis- Experience in exploit development- Windows and Linux Internals knowledge and driver development- Experience developing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions for network defense- Experience with Address, Thread, Memory sanitizers (google tools)- Familiarity with modern cryptographical practices and implementations (checksums, salting, hashing)- Comfortable with Git and modern CI tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis)- Service model familiarity SOAP, ReST, GRPC, GraphQL- OWASP secure coding standards - Modern frontend framework experience (React, Angular, Vue)- System process tracing (strace , process explorer)- Architecture security assessments across various software architectures, frameworks and platforms- Experience with network defense technologies in the following areas: EDR, SOAR, Firewalls, IDS/IPS- Data Fuzzing and generation - Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Heroku)- Blockchain familiarity, consensus protocols, ethereum model - AI LTSM neural nets / reinforcement learning deep Q-Networks- NoSQL database knowledge (MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, Scylla)- SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL), ORM layers, and Redis
