What will you do? We are looking for a Business Architect with a key focus on Financial Services to join our Strategic Sales Team. To thrive in this role, you will be confident when entering a board room setting and skilled at supporting complex conversations with ease. We want people who are comfortable being held accountable to client-based outcomes, and ultimately, revenue performance. The position requires you to be highly effective at leading discovery meetings, continuously qualifying opportunities in or out of the pipeline, designing and presenting sales proposals to prospects, and overcoming challenges and objections to clinch deals. It is imperative that you enjoy taking a hands on approach throughout the contract / negotiation phase to ensure all partners sign off on the engagement with agreeable terms. We expect our business architect to work closely with the senior sales and products teams to drive new business and maintain the client relationship. It's important to us that you have enthusiasm and aptitude for learning about new industries, technologies, and how they fit together. This role does not come neatly packaged or defined. You should expect it to change during your time at ConsenSys: it will evolve as our organization does. Responsibilities and Deliverables Contribute to complex sales efforts, including assembling and overseeing client bidding teams as needed, delivering client proposals and negotiating contracts / SOWs from first customer contact through deal close. Partner with Product, Customer Success and Professional Services to deliver winning customer proposals. Work jointly with senior sales team to develop account coverage strategies for complex sales cycles, as well as directly driving product opportunities through close. Use solutions-selling skills to engage with prospects, including preparation and delivery of collateral such as client presentations, pitches, and materials with proficient technical writing and solutioning skills. Leverage in-depth understanding of client needs, business strategy, and key client initiatives, and map these to the ConsenSys product portfolio, in close collaboration with team members across ConsenSys Software. The business architect will play an integral part in supporting the successful outcomes of all Enterprise activities. This person will be responsible for translating a set of business needs/requirements and transforming them into high fidelity deliverables. In addition this person might also be involved in business development presentations, business planning, fundraising decks, and training material. We are looking for someone who is familiar with and has developed baseline expertise in blockchain technology, with 5-7years of experience as a management consultant, or a similar role at a software company, preferably with enterprise technology. You must be capable of managing multiple projects at once, effective at working with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external), extremely detail-oriented, self-directed, proactive, and accountable to meeting deadlines. From a technology standpoint, the business architect will work closely with the product and professional services team to design and visualize decentralized systems, process flows, and reference diagrams and tailor them depending on the specific use case. From a research standpoint, the business architect must be proficient at conducting market research, compiling and modeling data, building business models, understanding and articulating business processes and user flows, and creating supporting written and visual documentation. A day in the life of a business architect will vary. One day you could be joining the head of business development to do discovery with one of the world's largest banks. The next day you may be in crunch mode preparing a client deliverable. The right candidate will take on each new project with enthusiasm. Required Experience and Skills Proven successful 5-7 years experience as an analyst or consultant in a top tier firm. Passion for and knowledge of the recent developments in blockchain in both the enterprise and non-enterprise verticals Knowledge of financial services, capital markets, asset management and insurance in NYC and the US is a plus Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs and understanding Highly motivated and target driven Analytical, time management and organizational skills Relationship management skills, openness to feedback and collaborative Previous CRM experience is a plus Strong customer references Don't check all of the boxes?
