Your Role and Responsibilities

This Consultant is expected to lead sales efforts for Financial Transformation Solutions. They will lead Request for Proposal (RFP) activities and other sales initiatives. Associate Partners will have more than 7 years of finance/consulting experience in one or more specialized financial management fields. Recognition in the one of the fields is a plus. Experience in client needs identification, rapid finance assessment, sales cycle, engagement planning setting up and demonstrable results at closing the sale of Consulting engagements is required. Candidates will have proven client relationship skills and experience with successful negotiations. Ideal candidates will have experience developing winning value-based proposals and have a track record of consistently exceeding aggressive sales and team utilization goals. Candidate will have extensive project management experience with both the ability to lead and adjust staff/workload to achieve target engagement profit and margin along with strong communication skills with CFO and Controller positions to drive demonstration of finance expertise and execution.

The Finance Transformation Center of Competency (CoC) team is comprised of solutioning experts who are globally deployable. They are recognized as subject matter experts in all facets of finance transformation with demonstrable expertise in multiple end-to-end process areas such as record-to-report, source-to-pay, order-to-cash or plan-to-perform. Expertise in leading practice operating models is also important. This is a worldwide role and the candidate should have the capability for extensive international travel. The candidate may reside in any country where IBM has a presence, with the understanding that they will travel to where the demand is. The primary mission of the Finance CoC is to facilitate the sale of Consulting engagements in the Finance function. The engagement durations may be short, so management skills covering a fluid workforce is required. Additionally, candidates should be able to seek opportunities to leverage complimentary services on their engagements and work effectively with multiple service lines while delivering, selling, or expanding consulting services within an account.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 7 years' experience in one or more financial management disciplines

At least 10 years' experience in effective communication skills - written and spoken

At least 6 years' experience in consulting experience

Basic knowledge in working in global environment

At least 6 years' experience in managing multi-dimension and complex demands

Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 10 years' experience in one or more financial management disciplines

At least 15 years' experience in effective communication skills - written and spoken

At least 11 years' experience in consulting experience

At least 8 years' experience in working in global environment

At least 9 years' experience in managing multi-dimension and complex demands
