Application Architect / Application Architect Sr.

Location: Atlanta GA

***This role is posted as a job family. The salary and title will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise.***

Provide technical leadership and advise on designs for application solutions, including design reviews, planning, development and resolving technical issues across multiple efforts and products

Authors clean, scalable, modular, secure, well-structured and testable code

Leads developers, engineers, and graphic designers; analyzes and classifies complex change request and reviews; evaluates and presents to managements possible enhancements for products.

Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation.

Establishes overall systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.

Defines architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards.

Directs the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).

Works with business units to translate business strategy into discrete requirements compatible with current technical architectures.

Defines systems, technical, and application architectures for new strategic initiatives; develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for these architectures in support of business and technical strategies;

Explains how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness.

Creates leverageable collateral (FAQs, presentations, white papers) for new, innovative technologies across platforms and technology ecosystems

Application Architect : Requires Bachelor's degree in related field; 3 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 8 years of experience in information technologies and/or 4 years of experience in health care industry preferred.

Application Architect Sr:

Requires Bachelor's degree in related field; Five years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MS/MA degree preferred. Ten years of experience in information technologies

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

•. Strong development background with 3-6 years of sound architecture experience

• Solid knowledge/experience in data warehousing, data management, and BI

• Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices

• Solid experience in CI/CD toolsets

• Extensive experience in designing strategic solutions and architectural models for, business systems, particularly in healthcare services industry

• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering/analysis

• Proven experience in systems and software development

• Proven experience in an agile and DevOps environments

• Working technical knowledge of current systems software, network protocols, system programming languages and standards

• Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices

• Working knowledge of JEE application servers (WebSphere, Weblogic, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Years of experience in health care industry
  • Blockchain experience - Hyperledger Fabric and Convector specifically a bonus.

  • Scrum Master experience/exposure
  • JIRA/Confluence
