IntroductionAs an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesServe as assigned customers' primary, day-to-day point of contact in the delivery of various projects. Provide directions to the team members comprising of developers, engineers, administrators in performing various tasks to meet the project deliverables.Establish engagement work plans, with input and buy-in from customer stakeholders, that define engagement activities/tasks, dates/duration and resourcesCoordinate the cross-functional assigned to projects, typically comprised of a combination of business analyst, developers and designer, in order to execute as per the project plan and deliver high-quality deliverables that satisfy customer requirements, objectives and/or acceptance criteriaProduce relevant documentation, such as project project timelines, meeting materials, status reports, budget reports, and other project documentation using templates, tools and standardsRegularly communicate project status with external and internal stakeholders, including key accomplishments, next steps, issues/risks/items for management attention, and project financialsEffectively identify and mitigate/manage engagement risks and issuesManage engagement scope, schedule, budget and resourcesWork collaboratively with onshore/offshore development team membersRequired Technical and Professional ExpertiseKnowledge of Telecommunications technologies, experience with ordering and provisioningHaving experience with:JAVA, J2EE (1.6, 1.7, 1.8), Spring (2, 3, 4), Struts (2.5), Hibernate (3, 4, 5), JQuery, Javascript, AJAX,OS : Linux - RHEL, UNIX - AIX, SunOS, Windows 2003, 2008 serverRDBMS : Oracle 11g, 12c, JDeveloper, TOAD, SQL DeveloperPreferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseOracle ADF (11, 12),Teradata R13/R14, Sybase.Tools : Eclipse, STS,About Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
