Global Security Sales Organization - GSSO is taking big steps to position Cisco as the #1 IT Security provider in the industry. In addition to having the right market conditions, capabilities, products and services, we need the right people to take us there.

What You'll Do

Access and Endpoint Security Architect - You will be responsible for pre-sales into selected accounts for Advanced Malware Protection(AMP) across Endpoint, Email and associated Architectures. As a Security Engineer, you are startup oriented and get things done in order to grow the line of business.

  • Teaming with Cisco account teams, authorized Distributors, VARs and ISP's on sales opportunities leveraging their capabilities to deliver product presentations, demonstrations and management of prospect evaluations.
  • Building and executing on a business plan with their Sales Security Specialist for the region to maximize revenues specifically including marketing activities to generate awareness and demand.
  • Working with Product Management and Development to ensure future solutions meet customer requirements and address current in field obstacles.
  • Analyzing and technically qualifying sales opportunities
  • Responding to bids and tenders
  • Selecting and training channel partners to service sales opportunities.
  • Articulating the high-level benefits of the full solution set to our target audiences (typically senior security management up to CISO)
  • Personal qualities we seek in a candidate include:

  • A commitment to timely customer communication and good customer service.
  • An organized, strategic process-orientated approach to capitalize on the market opportunity.
  • A driven team player with traits from a number of disciplines, including Product Management, Technical Sales, Product Marketing.
  • Effective self-management and self-organization and the ability to comfortably work with remote, US-based sales management teams.
  • Who You Are

  • Highly motivated self starter that does not need day-to-day management
  • 8+ years in a comparable pre-sales position supporting the pre-sales cycle in IT Security solutions
  • 5 years experience specifically with Endpoint and Email security technologies
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Working knowledge of integrated security architectures
  • Working knowledge of the broader threat landscape and the ability to distill technology trends, and explain complex behaviors in simple terms
  • Excellent presentation and commercial communication skills at all levels
  • Interpersonal skills (building relationships in the technical community in the channel)
  • Proven track record of managing and winning technical high value IT security projects
  • Successful quota achievement
  • Ability to travel greater than 50%
  • Desirable

  • Experience working with channel partners
  • Previously worked at a security vendor
  • Working knowledge of digital forensic analysis and incident response.
